Alternative or in addition to Christmas gifts

Instead of getting caught up in the material celebration of Christmas this year, consider giving something this year to a child who may never have received a gift. Located on the back table of The Baptist Fellowship of Randolph are Christmas gift catalogs from World Vision.
There is also a gift catalog from Samaritans Purse with three suggestions regarding operation Christmas Child.
- Adopt a show box-cost is $7.00 – Samaritan’s Purse will receive millions of gift-filled shoe boxes this year through Operation Christmas Child. They ask $7 per box to cover international shipping and other costs, but not everyone can afford a donation. If you adopt a shoe box – your generosity will help us to reach even more children with the true meaning of Christmas and a tangible expression of God’s amazing love.
- Gospel Booklets – 10 Booklets – cost is $5.00 – One day God told the prophet Isaiah that a child would be born “and His name would be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6b). Through this child, the Lord would provide a way to forgiveness and eternal life for those who believe. This is the Good Newss shared through “The Greatest Gift” Gospel booklets. Using colorful illustrations, we bring our Savior’s story to life for young boys and girls around the world.
- The Greatest Journey – cost $6.00 per chilld – More than one million boys and girls around the world have participated in the Greatest Journey so far. Many more are eager to begin their journey of faith. Your gift can help reach this next generation for Christ by helping to provide training for local church volunteers as well as the lesson books and Bibles.
