Good News at The Baptist Fellowship

Dear Church Family and Friends,

God has blessed our church so much. At the recent business meeting, we designated some of the money from our anonymous gift to two areas. Both of those areas have been blessed this week.

First, our church decided to cover the remainder of my seminary costs. You can only imagine how uplifting the removal of that debt has been to Gina and me. Tomorrow (Monday, June 22), I will begin my third set of seminars toward the completion of a Doctor of Ministry degree in biblical counseling. This week is focused on marriage and family counseling. I am excited about what I am going to learn. I have learned so much just by preparing for the class in doing the reading and written assignments.

Secondly, our church approved money to be designated for a college intern working with youth. God moved quickly beyond our dreams. Our current intern is Helen Wang. When she heard about our decision to get a college intern to work with youth, she volunteered. She has begun work this week, and you will see the first fruits during the worship service today.

God blesses quickly when you are in His will. Our God is not a reluctant Giver; He is a generous Giver. But sometimes He waits until the church or the person has the right motivation so that the blessings are used appropriately.

There are a couple of upcoming events that we need to pray for fervently: 4th of July outreach at the parade and festival, and Vacation Bible School. Let’s pray and see how God blesses these events.

May God bless you.

Pastor George
